Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Vreyo passenger or driver application ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Vreyo Philippines ("Vreyo", "we", "us", or "our").

2. The Vreyo Platform

Vreyo is a technology platform that connects passengers who need motorcycle rides, and senders who need food or package delivery, with independently operating motorcycle drivers. Vreyo does not provide transportation or delivery services directly. Drivers using the Vreyo Driver App are independent service providers, not employees or agents of Vreyo.

Ride-hailing is available now. Food and package delivery are being rolled out progressively and may not yet be available in all areas or app versions.

We are not responsible for the actions of drivers, passengers, or senders, but we maintain conduct and safety standards for all participants on the platform.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• One person may not hold more than one active account of the same role (passenger or driver).
• You may not transfer your account to another person.
• Vreyo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Passenger Terms

Booking

When you book a ride, you are requesting a trip from a pickup point to a destination. By confirming a booking you agree to the displayed fare estimate and the selected payment method.

Pickup obligations

You must be at your specified pickup location when the driver arrives. Failure to appear may result in a cancellation fee and a negative mark on your account.

Behaviour

You must treat drivers with respect. Threatening, harassing, or abusive behaviour towards drivers will result in account suspension. You must not ask a driver to violate traffic laws, carry additional unbooked passengers, or alter the agreed destination without the driver's consent.

Safety equipment

You are required to wear a helmet provided by or arranged with your driver. Riding without a helmet is illegal under Philippine law and is grounds for refusal of service.

5. Driver Terms

Verification

Drivers must visit a Vreyo physical office to submit valid government-issued ID, a current driver's licence, vehicle registration documents, and proof of third-party liability insurance before their account is approved. Vreyo reserves the right to re-verify or revoke approval at any time.

Locked profile fields

Once approved, your name, vehicle plate number, and vehicle model are locked and cannot be changed through the app. Changes to these fields require a return visit to the Vreyo office with supporting documents.

Independent contractor status

Drivers are independent contractors. You are free to accept or decline ride requests and set your own hours. Vreyo does not guarantee a minimum number of ride requests or earnings.

Vehicle and licence

You must maintain a valid driver's licence and vehicle registration at all times. You must only accept rides using the registered vehicle on your Vreyo profile. Vreyo may perform random verification checks.

Conduct

You must operate your vehicle safely and within the bounds of Philippine traffic law. You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while online. You must not carry more passengers than permitted, or demand additional payment beyond the agreed fare.

6. Delivery Terms

Placing a delivery order

When you book a food or package delivery, you are the sender and are responsible for accurately describing the item(s) being sent and providing correct recipient details. By confirming a delivery booking you agree to the displayed fee estimate.

Prohibited items

You may not send illegal goods, weapons, hazardous or flammable materials, cash, jewelry or other high-value items, live animals, or any item prohibited under Philippine law. Vreyo reserves the right to refuse or cancel any delivery that appears to violate this policy.

Recipient obligations

The recipient must be available at the delivery address within the delivery window shown in the app. Failed delivery attempts due to recipient unavailability may incur a redelivery or return fee.

Liability for goods

Vreyo's liability for loss or damage to a delivered item is limited to the declared value at booking, up to a maximum of ₱2,000 per delivery, unless a higher declared value and corresponding fee were agreed at booking. Vreyo is not liable for items sent in violation of the Prohibited Items policy above.

Food orders

For food deliveries, Vreyo is responsible for the delivery service only. The quality, safety, accuracy, and preparation of food items are the responsibility of the restaurant or merchant fulfilling the order.

7. Fares and Payments

Fares are calculated based on the road distance between pickup and drop-off points using the following structure:

• Base fare: ₱40 (covers the first kilometre)
• Distance charge: ₱13 per kilometre after the first
• Booking fee: ₱5 per ride

The estimated fare is displayed before you confirm a booking. The final fare is based on actual road distance and may differ slightly from the estimate.

Accepted payment methods are Cash and GCash. The selected payment method is confirmed at booking time and cannot be changed after a driver accepts the ride.

Vreyo does not process or hold payments. Cash fares are settled directly between passenger and driver. Vreyo is not responsible for payment disputes between participants.

8. Promo Codes

Promo codes provide a discount on the ride fare. The following conditions apply:

• Each promo code has a maximum number of uses per account and may have a global redemption limit.
• Promo codes cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.
• Promo codes apply to the ride fare only and do not reduce the booking fee.
• Expired, inactive, or fully-redeemed codes cannot be applied.
• Vreyo reserves the right to cancel or modify promo codes at any time.
• Any attempt to fraudulently obtain or misuse promo codes will result in account suspension.

9. Conduct and Safety

All users of Vreyo must:

• Treat other users with courtesy and respect.
• Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Not attempt to circumvent the platform's matching system.
• Not misuse the in-app chat feature to send spam, threats, or inappropriate content.
• Not record or photograph other users without consent.

In any safety emergency during a ride, use the in-app SOS button to contact emergency services or Vreyo support directly. The emergency number for the Philippines is 911.

Users who pose a safety risk to others will be immediately suspended pending investigation.

10. Ratings

After each completed ride, passengers are invited to rate their driver and drivers are invited to rate their passenger, both on a 1–5 star scale. Ratings are averaged over all completed rides and are visible within the app.

Ratings reflect ride experience. Consistently low ratings may result in account review or suspension. Vreyo does not alter or remove ratings except in cases of verified abuse of the rating system.

11. Cancellations

Passenger cancellations

You may cancel a booking free of charge while a driver is being searched. Once a driver has accepted your ride, the following policy applies:

• Grace period (first 2 minutes): You may cancel for free with no penalty.
• After the grace period: Each cancellation places a 5-minute booking suspension on your account — you cannot book a new ride until the cooldown expires.
• Daily limit: If you reach the maximum number of late cancellations in a single day, your account will be suspended from booking for the remainder of that day. The count resets to zero at midnight Philippine Time (PHT, UTC+8).

There is no monetary fee for cancellations. Consequences are time-based suspensions only.

Driver cancellations

Drivers are expected to complete rides they accept. Each cancellation of an accepted ride applies the following consequences:

• Per cancellation: A 5-minute suspension from receiving new ride requests.
• Daily limit: Reaching the daily cancellation limit suspends the driver from receiving rides for the remainder of that day. The count resets at midnight Philippine Time.
• Lifetime tracking: All cancellations are recorded in the driver's account history. A high lifetime cancellation rate may affect platform standing and eligibility.

No-shows

If a passenger is not at the pickup location when the driver arrives, the driver may cancel after a reasonable wait. No-show cancellations by the driver do not count against the driver's cancellation limit.

12. Limitation of Liability

Vreyo provides a technology platform to connect passengers and drivers. To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law:

• Vreyo is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from a ride between a passenger and a driver.
• Vreyo is not liable for the unavailability of drivers, delays, or route inaccuracies.
• Vreyo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the App, including loss of data or business interruption.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Vreyo's negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

13. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings screen in the App. Vreyo may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms, pose a safety risk, or engage in fraudulent activity.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability and Conduct) will continue to apply.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App. Your continued use of Vreyo after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
